8420 / 8520 Series
Bypass Valve
Multiple low inertia bypass valve nest protects the element from excessive differential pressure caused by flow surges and cold starts. Bypass fkow does not impinge on the element, avoiding element erosion.
Positive Sealing
O-ring seals are used throughout assembly for positive leak-proof sealing
Tubular weir
Element engages weir tube when inserted keeping the dirty oil on the upstream side of the element
Weir dam
Unique weir tube and dam arrangement prevents the exchange of dirty and clean oil when changing filter element.
Anti-backflow valve
Optional anto backflow valve where assembly is mounted below fluid level. Consult with our sales office
Easy cover removal
Built-in levering posts for easy cover removal. Requirs only simple tools. No. Loose parts.
Differentil pressure devices
Optional visual or electrical indicating devices, providing accurate and reliable indication of the need for element service. Differential pressure devices are mechanically independent of the bypass valve and signal before the bypass valve opens.
Mounting
Bolt-on mounting, blind hole fastening or equivalent studs - no welding required. Permits easier and cleaner installation and servicing. no warping of reservoir due to welding.
Fill/Drain port
Filling through pressure fill port ensures make-up oil is filtered.
Diffuser (optional)
Reduces the velocity of the oil entering the reservoir, thereby preventing air entertainment and reduces oil agitation.
